Terms and Conditions

No one likes lengthy legal documents. They are a little tiresome. However, some mutual agreements and trust must be made in order to protect you and me. Below I will detail some terms and conditions to make the project run as smooth as possible:

 

The Contract

 

A contractual agreement is made between the client and myself when the project initiation has been granted and the required deposit has been paid. The instruction of commencing work and the payment of the deposit indicates the client has read and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in this document.

 

Intellectual Property

 

The copyright of any of the materials created for the client’s website will be retained by myself until the payment of the final invoice has been made. Once this payment has been made the copyright ownership will be transferred to the client. Any stock images used in a website will adhered to their own copyright notices.

 

Copyright Responsibilities (Client)

 

If a client is to supply the text, imagery, animations or other such assets they are legally responsible to ensure that the material does not breach any copyright laws.

 

Quotation

 

The price quoted to the client is the cost to complete the project. Should the project undergo a change in scope then a revision to the project proposal may need to be made. If this is the case then the client shall be made aware of such changes and a new proposal shall be introduced for both parties to agree on.

 

Deposit

 

A Deposit of 25% of the total cost of the project will be required before work can commence. When the work has commence the deposit is non-refundable.

 

Payment

 

Payments can be made via BACS transfer or PayPal.

 

Proof Reading Content

 

It is imperative that the client checks the final artwork and website textual content. While I do check all content I create and add it is possible that some mistakes make occur. It is important that the client performs a final proof read before project completion and handover.

 

Project Completion and Handover

 

Once the final payment has been made the website, login credentials and assets will be handed over.

 

Cancellation

Should a client decide to cancel the project they will forfeit the deposit. Any incomplete designs will remain under the copyright of myself, Gary Williamson.
